Revisiting Soul Restoration

I spent a little while today revisiting the Soul Restoration class I took with my fellow brave girls. I cannot say enough about this class. It has truly made a difference in me. Can I say I'm totally restored? I don't know if I could say totally, but I sure did a lot of house cleaning and restoration. I've released baggage I've been carrying around for way too long. I've rediscovered the "girl" I used to be. I've learned a lot about myself and I've been pointed in the right direction. I think I'm what you would call a work in progress. Soul Restoration has given me tools to move forward. I just have to remind myself to use them. This afternoon I figured I would try and re-watch all of the class videos before they expire--give myself a little refresher. I only made it through both parts of lesson one but already I have come to see some truths. Hopefully I can watch some more tomorrow.

I started a new book this evening. So I'm off to "get lost".

Try and Try Again

Here I am again. I'm hoping I can get going on my blog. I don't know why I find it so difficult to keep up with. So here's to a fresh new start.

My Lesson for Today

My Lesson for today is "Don't let yourself run out of your skin care products". My poor skin looks awful with several breakouts. I've had more blemishes over 40 than I ever did as a teenager. I am seriously hitting the Proactiv kiosk tomorrow.

In the Blink of an Eye

Wow, things really can change in the blink of an eye. Thursday I learned that I had lost a good friend. Shannon was such a fun and vibrant person. We had a lot of fun Saturday nights after SU closed scrapping to our hearts content. It was during those nights that we shared so much---the love of our families, our successes, our failures, and our thoughts on everything from day to day activities, to politics, to religion. My heart will feel her loss and goes out to John and her boys. What a wake call to treasure each and every day. I'll miss you banana!

Learning Something New

Well I have signed up for a new class at Shimelle.com entitled "Learn Something New". So for the whole month of September I'll be documenting what I learned the previous day. I think it's going to be challenging and lots of fun.

Things Have Been Busy

Wow, things have been busy lately. It seems like the holidays have just snuck up on me. Quaid and I went to Alabama for Thanksgiving. We had a great time!!!! Oh how I love being with my family! I'll have to do a post just about our trip. Now I'm concentrating on getting the tree decorated and Christmas decor up. That's my #1 on my list of things to do today. As a matter of fact I need to work on that list of things to do right now. Later.

I learned...

This past week has taught me a valuable lesson..... Never, never, never use your use your debit/Mastercard for online purchases. I use mine alot. Everyday spending now days requires this valuable piece of plastic. It was probably just a matter of time but someone got my info and ordered, of all things, green tea and vitamins. It wasn't thousands of dollars or anything. Just enough to totally screw up my account and leave me with a minus $200 balance. Talk about upsetting--the whole situation is crappy. I've logged almost 3 hours at the bank dealing with this and time at the police station filling out a police report. Now it's waiting time for the investigation. I guess I can now chalk it up to important lesson learned--the hard way. Ugh!!!
